25 April 2012 - Straits of Gibraltar
They say the English Channel is the busiest shipping lane in the world, but the Straits of Gibraltar must be up there. To me, container ships tend to look a bit overloaded, like they are going to topple over at any minute. Shortly after this photo was taken, the ship did indeed topple over.

m Penny tells me that when she sailed the Atlantic and had to do 8 hours on watch, the most important thing to spot was containers, which often had just a small corner sticking out of the water. There thousands of them bobbing around...not hard to imagine with this picture
