William - have just returned from two weeks in Spain - can't believe I stayed in Javea from 7th to 21st May only to read this morning that you and James were in the area. How's that for a small world? Hope you're having a great time - isn't the weather good there, far better than freezing Brighton! Take care.

Read through your postcards and enjoyed travelling with you (except for the squid in ink !). Hope your good times continue.

Hi Will & James. Have been keeping up with the postcards, they're great! Sounds like you're having a fab time and will come back with a tan to be jealous of. Our house sale is progressing and we're waiting for surveys to be done so we're in that part when nothing really seems to be happening. We haven't started to clear out stuff or pack yet, but we really must start soon as the weeks will just fly by. The cats have been microchipped and have had their first rabies injection in preparation for their new life in the sun chasing gheckos and we have bought spanking new cat carriers ready for their flight. Lots of time has been spent sending e-mails to people who don't reply very quickly if at all - just can't get used to this 'manana' attitude yet. There's so much to do but lots of it can't be done until we have a moving date. We are thinking about going straight out there and renting but we're keeping all options open at the moment. Tina has family at her Spainish house until the end of August, so although we can stay with her, we can't really until September, hence the hunt for somewhere to rent for 6 months. It would also give us time to house and job hunt and have a bit of a holiday in the sun first! Will keep you posted of progress anyway.
Keep the postcards and pics coming and look forward to seeing you in a few weeks! xx
James
Did that steak still have its horns and tail on when it arrived in front of you, i don't think i could have eaten that and i've had a donna from quba kebabs in kingston.

Hi Will and James,
Gordon has been even b****ier than usual at work recently. He keeps staring wistfully out the window at the rain sheeting down (you know, some days the weather is so foul you can neither see the gas works nor smell the Millbrook sewage works) and flipping through his "The Modern Trade Unionist's Guide to Europe", randomly jabbing one of his expensively manicured fingers at a page and whispering dreamily to himself "we could do it too, we could do it too, ...". Then he comes to, sighs deeply, b*****s off for a coffee and a Waitrose prawn mayonnaise bap, and borrows someone's office for 10 minutes so he can phone Autocar to see if they've got any diesel camper vans with long MOTs and a formica drinks cabinet going cheap.
But he's not half as jealous as we are! Your postcard entries are great - entertaining and interesting. Keep up the postcards, but please stop having such a good time! It's just not fair.
Love Johnny and Ratbag

Home Thoughts
Hi, Wills & James,
We have just read your postcard day 42. The picture of Will looks good in the Buddha pose, we preferred the previous picture of Lagos with you both of you.
keeping their fingers crossed.
Sophie & James are getting on with their house, Peter and Don helped them for a couple of days.
It's May Day holiday this weekend, will they have a May Day in Spain/Portugal ? Will the shops be closed ?
We are hoping that the weather will improve so that we can sit in the garden.
Thats all folks !!!!
See you soon.
It must be miserable not finding a good site or when you do find a site and it turns out to be awful.
We are so pleased the weather has improved for you, it hasn't in Romsey, its Thursday evening and we have lit a fire its so miserable.
Peter went back to Angola on Monday and we have kept in touch with Carolyne, she's OK.
Alison & Matthew send their love and hope you are both well, Alison said that she had received half a text from you but could not decipher it. They are still trying for "Forest Gate"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIAM
Sounds and looks like you're having a ball. We're thinking of you on your special day.

Boys,
You seem to making very quick progress. You're not on a rally that you haven't told us about are you?
I notice that you are already in southern Portugal, but I see no mention of you having visited Lisbon! Is this true! I've heard that it is meant to be rather a splendid place to visit. (God, I sounded like the Queen then!)
Things here are fine. Weather has been so hot that we've had to hose down the patio several times already. They reckon that we've got temperatures similar to those in northern Africa at the moment. We've been doing so much sun bathing that Neil has run out of bikinis!
Speak soon.
Love to you both.
Gordon.

Who can believe you have been away for nearly a month ? You both seem to be enjoying it, or are you being like the queen and practising your smile ? it looks as if you have both lost weight. James, I am not sure about the hair, it has ruined your plans for bunches at the wedding !!!!
It is good to read you stories of the day, I am guessing that James is doing the majority of the writing ? or am I wrong ? Will, don't be sensitive, that's my job.
I am still bike less but J is still away and not due back until next week I will keep you posted.
Take care and of course love to you both, as always. XXXX
