So heres the second part of my blog, in very short im afraid because I havnt really had time to keep it up to date, so sorry but will do best now to catch up!
Ok so here goes, after bangkok we travelled as a group to the floating market on their man made canal type river, where all the locals try to sell u their fresh hand picked local fruit produce(which is delicious btw), and various other products like hand carved figures and necklaces etc. And dont worry Kirsty I have got postcards for Charlie and will send them at some point! Bit crumpled tho soz.
After we went by coach again the same day, to the Famous River Kwai which is what the famous book and also movie is based on. We crossed the Railway bridge to the other side by foot and after went round the museum which told us in explicit detail the whole story of the events during world war 2 concerning all of the British , Australian, American and Chinese P.O.W.'s. So I have learnt some history and actually taken it all in, very sad story!!!
We then caught the overnight train for 10 hours to towards Krabi beach. This train was certainly a great experience I will never forget. There bunk were beds by either side of the train and and a very small isle down the middle to walk through. I happened to be very tired by this point, I have been getting up very early everyday so far, for some reason my body clock works very well out here in asia, prob because I was nocturnal in the UK! So this train looked very old and quite run down, but I thought this just added character. The bed had a curtain so u had privacy, I really found the noise and movement of the train comforting so was asleep in about half an hour by 10.00. I woke up by 6.00 in morning about an hour before the train stopped at 7.00. We had breakfast by the station and caught yet another coach for a couple of hours to finish the final leg to Krabi Beach! The Rest will follow under Krabi heading!
