Hey!!

It's been a while from the last blog but time in Bali was just amazing and I was too lazy to do anything else except surfing and chillin So after Darwin I took my backbacks and surfboard to Bali for a month and that month has been one of the best ones so far! After sleeping in 10people dorm in Darwin I got an own hotel room in Bali which was luxus for me. The hotel room wasnt the best one and it was in a street corner so sleepin without earblogs couldnt hav been possible. Anyway it felt soo good to hav an own room so a few cockroaches didnt matter at all. Somehow I also felt really good to leave Australia as I was a little bit tired to stay in hostels..

So the first week I spent in Kuta which is the worst tourist hell in Bali. Kuta is also famous of Bali bombings in 2002 and the memorial is in the middle of the city. Yes, I stayed 8 nights altogether but I just wanted to chill for a while and keep my 30kilos stuff in the same place. On the first week I met my friend Marieka from Bond uni in Bali so I didnt had to party alone. That was a tough week because of parties not so much of surfin.. I tried surfin in Kuta beach but it was the best place for that and tiny hangover was always making it worse..

After my first week my mates Ben and Johannes from Germany came to Bali and we rented scooters for the next three weeks as well as really nice place to stay in Bingin Beach We paid 4.80€ per night so it was pretty cheap and also the family we stayed with was really nice. Only problem were the waves as our place was next to the ocean so again I needed my earblogs.. Anyway the place was just amazing and many days I was just sittin on a couch, listening music and watching the waves and waitiin the right moment to jump in. Those times were just amazing and somehow I really didnt care about internet or other world aound me at all.. Maybe those photos might tell u something about how lazy one can be. We had also really good times just chatting and hanging as Ben studied w me in Bond so we had heaps of stories to share

Somedays the ocean was really flat and we had to plan something else to do instead of surfin. Of course we were all pissed off another day without surfin but wat u can do.. One day we drove our scooters to Ubud which is said to be nice place with all it's rice fields and stuff. Well those rice fields were nice ones and I guess were representing real Bali instead of mass tourism. But Ubud wasnt too nice.. Just another chaotic town w hundreds of scooters and cars and heaps or tourists. In Ubud we took a walk trough monkey temple and rice fields so anyway we did some kind a sport on that day as well. Freakin monkeys tried to steal everything and I got even few bananas w me (stupid) so had to run away all the time..

Like going to Ubud or where eve we always drove, the traffic was just a big chaos! Sometimes we were driving more than 80km per h and then suddenly two busses are coming towards us behind a corner or a scooter driving on wrong lane again towards us.. And if u dont get kill there by traffic at least the smoke will do that 4 u.. On a way from Ubud to our place we were driving 1 hour and afterwards we were all black. It's not all about lorries or busses but balineseans are burning all kind of stuff next to the roads on afternoon so the whole journey we drove in a smoke cloud.U cant even imagine how good the first beer tasted after the trip

Another stupid day was the next day after Ubud when the ocean was still completely flat. This time we headed our scooters to Nusa Dua and then the most famous sea temple Tanah lot. Nusa Dua was a bit boring place as it's the most expensive place in Bali. Lots of luxus hotels and golf courts so we didnt stayed there too long. Thou the beach overthere was reallyreally nice. After Nusa Dua we drove app. an hourto Tanah Lot. Well Tanah lot might be nice place but it's just another tourist hell in Bali. Hundreds of chinese people taking pictures everywhere so we stayed there like less than 10min... Moreover the road to Tanah lot is 500m pedestrian street full of small stores selling all kinds of s*it.

Thank god next morning the swell was picking up in indo again and we didnt had to do any tourist trips anymore at all In Bali we surfed Padang Padang, Impossibles, Bingin, Dreamland and Balangan breaks and my favorites were Balangan and Dreamland. Well Dreamland was dreamland about 2-3 years ago but now the beach is completely ruined as some idiot (president's son I heard) built a really ugly restaurant complex on it Now the beach is full of chinese people taking again millions of pictures... Once even one stupid tourist end up into a current that took him out to the sea and I had to rescue him.. He was w bodyboard 300m from the shore and completely exhausted. Didnt even knew how to wave to lifeguards so had to giv him a hand. Chinese people... BTW guess were the most horrible swimming wears are coming? Anyhow good for us they couldnt ruin the waves so at least we got a good time in dreamland.

Surfin in Indo was of course really good but sometimes breaks were just way too crowded. As the peak season is from July to August we were many times really fighting for the waves! Usually it also helped waking up early in a morning so there were also times that u could surf alone! In Indo was also my first time to surf reef breaks. Well I didnt got that much hit by the breaks but my board instead of me took dozens of new dings. Anyhow we were living next to Jerry the man (ding repair guy) who was after three weeks one of my best mates in Bali Maybe because of me he can live now 2 months like a king so...

We also had some problems w polices in Bali: yeah the most corrupted cop stopped us because we were driving too slowly. "U trive too slowly, not good for me not good for u". Well that wasnt the matter when he discovered that i didnt got international driving licence... And as being a stupid somehow I was holding my money in my hand so the freakin police told me the fine is how much u hav in ur hand. Anyway it was just like 10€ so I gave the money and we were good. Then the police man was reallyreally nice like tellin where to go and where to turn. Wat an idiot! So anyway afterwards we were always driving w full speed when we saw a police station..

Yeah I guess that was all from Bali as most of the days we were only surfing and chillin. After all the time in Bali was awesome and for sure I'm trying to go back some day 4 sure! On last Tuesday I had to leave the country as my visa expired. Stupid visa! Otherwise I would hav stayed there probably another two weeks.. Now hanging in Singapore until Monday and then to Phuket!
