On the bus again and back to Toronto arriving right on time to catch Toronto's version of Gay Pride. It was a lovely sunny day and the parade was bright, colourful, noisy and quirky. We were surprised at how many women were participating.
Then it was finally time to do the big Toronto attraction which we had saved up until the end - the CN Tower. This is currently the highest observation deck on a building in the world at 147 storeys and 447 metres high but will be superseded soon by a building in Dubai. A fast lift takes you up to the main viewing platform which has a glass floor to see all the way down. It is a very strange feeling stepping out onto it. One wants to check it first gingerly with the foot to make sure it is safe before venturing out on it! We also discovered from an information board that from the CN Tower we are 15,562 kilometers from Sydney. Time to move a bit closer as we cross the Atlantic and on to London.
