Looking a little like a reactor, it is in fact the base of what was to be the biggest minaret built. Its current height is 26 meters, it was however intended to be 71 meters in height. Various reasons circulate as to why it was never completed, from being too close to the harem, to competition for construction experts by projects in other states. Anyhow what is clear is the project was abandoned after the kahn who commissioned the work died.
