Today i took the mountain bike and drove along the southern coast of the island before i headed north to explore Puna Pau, the quarry where they made the Pukao's or head knots for the Moai statues. Today i was hiking north along the West coast to Tahai and Hanga Kio'e to see the first couple of Rapa Nui's famous statues known as Moai's. After 4 long flights and grueling 28 hours later I just arrived exhausted but happy on Rapa Nui or Easter Island.
