Hello

This is my very first blog and it will be a boring one because I have not left England yet! However, I felt today was an appropriate day to start my journal as it is now 100 days until I leave - Woopie!!

I still have loads of things to buy including travel insurance (very important!) and will be receiving my £340 bill for vaccinations very soon. However, I do have a backpack, a mosquito net (which looks like a princess bed!!) some ugly walking shoes, an anti bed-bug sheet, a rehydration kit (very useful!) and all manner of wonderful gadgets like a universal sink plug, LED Torch, extra soft eye mask (for the morning afters!!) and a pink whistle (apparently for safety but I think it will be more useful at raves!) I have been repeatedly picked on by my fellow travellers for having these gadgets but I am convinced that very soon into our journey certain individuals (Laura) will be eating humble pie and wishing they had my Girl Guide style forward thinking skills!!! Watch this space........
