Thursday, 16 February: We left Feilding and drove to Wellington where we boarded the Bluebridge ferry to take us across Cook Strait to the South Island port city of Picton. Whlle in Wellington Harbor, we were treated to the arrival of the first two of the yachts participating in the Volvo Around the World Yacht race to arrive in NZ from Australia on their way to South America. Saturday, February 10: We've had a quiet week. Mostly rainy days have been more conducive to reading than anything else. Buzz and Max went on their tramping adventure on Thursday..a ten hour hike at Takapari near Dannevirke. The last part of it was in the rain.
