24 February: Happy birthday to my brother, Joe. For the next seven weeks I am only three years older than he! We spent the day having a look around Petone and Upper Hutt. We had lunch at La Bella Italia, a lovely bistro with a huge selection of gourmet cheeses, sausages, olives and other Italian gastronomic treats. February 17: Happy Birthday Savyon! We checked into the Duke Backpackers Hotel in Greymouth owned and operated by a young couple from TelAviv! It is clean, convenient, and very friendly. When we came back from dinner, we had a chance to Skype with Kate, Sapir and Savyon just before the girls started their school day yesterday.
