Hello, again, Blogonauts!
An ounce of pounce can be as valuable as a ton of anticipation.
And thus, I've lept onto a chance to travel again, with only a bit more than a week of admittedly partial planning.
This time it's a major meander, lasting 3 weeks. The route began with a flight to the land of my roots, where I'm visiting my mom in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Then tomorrow (Wednesday), the airlines will ricochet my luggage and me from Dixie to DC and then around Europe before landing us (hopefully together) in Valencia, Spain. This will give Spain's third largest city a chance to redeem itself after my last sodden sojourn. Toby firmly states that the sun will shine there this time. Keep your eyes on his weather to see if he's blowing smoke...or fog.
Finally, a rambling wander through western Germany and The Netherlands will scratch a travel itch I've had for years. But more on that later. (Perhaps a lot more, and a lot later, since that part of the journey lasts almost 2 weeks and won't begin until a few days into May.)
Consider this an announcement of coming attractions. (Let's hope they're attractive more than attrocious.) And of course, there will be photos, too.
Blog to you later!
