Helllllllloooooo!!
Thought it was about time I updated this!
We are currently in Darwin where it has been 32 degrees most days.
We arrived here Saturday morning after 3 nights in Bangkok, where we had lots of fun.
We did a tour of the temples which was lovely at first then quickly got a little boring then apparently as part of the 'tour' we were taken to a gem factory, a tailor and then a 'tourist info centre' which meant they tried to sell us something from every place we stopped. That night we had a bit of a messy one which was probably a bad idea as we had booked another tour for the next day which was picking us up at 7:30am.
So.....back to the night out, went for a lovely dinner then went to this street bar and had a bucket of cocktail which, Richard being the sensible didn't drink much of. We then went to an Irish bar and got talking to some people who knew a tuk tuk driver, so in my drunken state agreed to go with them out of the city to some random club.....me and Rich left soon after getting there we were the only english there. I don't remember much after that, Richard says that looking at the pic the next morning was like when they find the camera at the end of the Hangover.....it wasn't THAT bad!
We then had to get up for our tour of the floating markets, we had to get there by boat and it was beautiful, really lovely to see how the Thai people live in their huts by the water. We made friend with a girl called Sophie who's 19 and travelling alone. We're going to meet up with her in Sydney.
Once we gotto Darwin, within about an hour of arriving at the hostel we got talking to a couple from Yorkshire and have spent most days and evenings with them, also a guy called Shane from Manchester.
Since we've been here we haven't really done much as it's quite quiet, we can't swim in the sea as there are too many crocs so we've been going to a wave pool.
Tomorrow (tues) we're going on a tour to a place called Litchfield to see jumping crocs, snakes and 3 waterfalls.
We leave on Wednesday morning to head to Sydney and will be loooking to work and live there for a few months. Will be nice to be settled somewhere for a while, although I feel I could get used to this traveller lifestyle!!
Will update again once we are settled in Sydney and actually have something interesting to say!
Much love to you all xxxxx
