Hello, Heres the last part to get me up to date...
Lianne and I went to high school together at St Josephs and were part of the same group of friends. We used to spend hours and hours talking on MSN and I suppose Lianne was what mum would call, 'a special friend' to me. In year 10 though Lianne announced her family was moving to Australia! We said our goodbyes, had a few big parties and that was that. Lianne and I still kept in touch for a while and a few letters were sent back and forth in the early days. Then one day… I decided a world tour would be a good idea and now I find my self in Australia visiting Lianne here! Crazy!
Lianne arrived at Lens to pick me up in the morning and it was great to see her again! It had been about 5/6 years since I had last seen her and I recon she still looked the same. We drove back up north and talked pretty much all the way, reminiscing about school, filling each other in about the past few years, and having a good old gossip about who from school is doing what and where! Lianne now lives with her partner Aaron, in a really nice house about a 10 min walk from the beach. After a cuppa we walked down to the beach and went for lunch. There isn't much to write in here about what we did but basically we just chatted and caught up J After lunch we walked along the pier to look at yet more amazing coast lines in Australia before going back to Lianne's to chill out. Aaron has been with Lianne for 2 and a bit years and works in the RAF, he is a great guy and we all got on really well. When he got home from work we went to the local sports bar for tea. Then we went home to watch Australian X Factor! Everyone who reads this has to type into You Tube, 'Introvert, Extravert, it doesn't matter'. Amazing!
The day after Lianne and I went to Gorge wildlife park. It was about an hours drive up into the hills and was filled with loads of animals from around Australia. Highlights were the Tasmanian Devil, Kangaroos, Monkeys and most of all holding a Koala! Yes…. Holding a Koala! It was really soft, light and very friendly! We then went back home for a rest before heading to Glenelg, another beach town for a waffle and a visit to Lianne's mum and dads house. While at their house I had a very important job to do! I don't know if many people know this but it was the 6th September 2011 that day and that means it was my mums 50th birthday! I rang home via skype to wish mum a happy birthday before going back to Lianne and Aarons for a pizza night in. While at Lianne's mum and dad's house she dug out all her leaving things from England! This contained some pretty amazing stuff written by yours truly! Put it this way, I can tell from what I wrote I must have been gutted when Lianne left and that's all I'm saying. We read through some of the stuff and laughed about the good old days when we were young! All content will remain in the books and letters but I am glad to see I kept to my word… the last line in her leaving book that I wrote was, 'I'll come and see ya!'…Mission Accomplished! Anyway, back home we spent watching X Factor and Home and Away, it was great just to chill!
So the next day I was due to fly to Sydney. I thought I was flying at 8.05am… it's a bloody good job I did online check in though as the flight time had changed to 1.30pm! At least I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn!
So that was it, my time in Victoria and South Australia was over. I had had a great few days with Len, Lianne and Aaron! Thank you to all for putting me up, treating me and showing me around! Next stop was Sydeny where I am now! I have had a great 2 days so far but you will have to wait until the next blog to see what I have been up to. I am just off to complete another little mission… all will be reviled!
Oh… and I have a secret! It's a big one and you will all be surprised, just make sure you look at Facebook on Sunday!
Bye for now
