After the Favela trip we strolled through Copacabana and had food on the beach front - it seemed quite smart at first but was littered with prostitutes and screens showing match of the day. We found a small bar and had a Capriniha and some Ypoca which is the local drink - it is $2,40 for a litre and 39% alcohol! We chatted to some people at the hostel and 8 beers later were pretty drunk. Next morning was hell on earth with the mother of all hangovers. After somehow packing my bag i dragged myself to the loo to throw up. Then threw up again on the stairs to the hostel - then again in the minibus to Ihla Grande - this pattern continued for a while, by the time i had to get on the 2 hour boat ride i was no longer sick, just zombified through my headache. It was worth it though as the clouds cleared as we approached Ihla Grande which is like beach paradise. I slept all afternoon and just went for a stroll. Today we went on an island tour, stopping at 2 lagoons for snorkelling and 5 beaches (which i just snorkled at) it was just like a postcard and we even saw a turtle from the boat.
I have managed to get suburn all over my back and down my legs though! Thats all for now!
