Weather forecast not good today but started off dry & sunny so took the Portobello Road out of Dunedin towards the Otago Peninsular and turned up to Larnach Castle. The Portobello Road runs right alongside the water with no barriers- quite a driving experience. We parked exactly where she said and it was a short walk along a clean sandy beach to where the Boulders lay mysteriously. I can't tell you enough how easy it is to drive here and how scenic the routes are. We've been extremely lucky with the weather I think too. So off we set after filling up with petrol and sorting out our route- only one road we could take really! Another beautifully sunny morning at our waterside lodge. Again, Kerry was more than happy to drop us off at the car hire place- great hospitality. Off we went- easy car to drive- automatic 1.5 Nissan with plenty of room for us and our luggage.
