Toot Toot Travellers, Guess who I met yesterday? David HassleHoff, yes the one and only! Queued for over an hour in Borders on Oxford street to be granted access to his holiness! He signed a copy of his autobiography and here is a transcript of the actual conversation that took place: -
Me "OMG I Love you"
Hoff "Hi"
Me "Can I have my photo taken with you"
Hoff "Sure come on round"
Me about to put my arm around the man god "Can I touch you?"
Hoff "Sure babe go ahead"
Me quick feel of biceps and lower back (very hard slightly sweaty) Me "Thank you, I love your work"
Evil press agent "OK move along"
Me - evil glare, one last loving look at David
Amazing huh! So we're in our new house and getting to grips with furniture building and how to stop cats from using your garden as a toilet (Does anyone know if it's illegal to throw stones at cats if they are on your property, vandalising it with their dirty toilet habits?).
I'll send you an email update on all the good stuff like my recent trip to Greece with work and the poor guy who got electrocuted on the beach and ended the best party I've ever been too! Love to you both xxxxx

Hi Tim and Debbie
Youre having far too good a time! The good news for me is, as I think Cathy will have mentioned, Im out here in Malaysia [been here over 3 months now] but my real travels are now fully organized. I set off to Hanoi for 6th October from where Im traveling overland with a mate for four months through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia again, then Borneo. Im expecting to be around Bangkok or somewhere pretty close at Christmas and Singapore quite probably for New Year. I know youre coming in my direction, so drop me an e-mail with an outline of your expected route and likely timescales and well definitely have to meet up in some peaceful, remote hill tribe village someplace for a not too quiet drink.
Keep Wandering. Free as a Womble!

Hi Debbie and Tim,
Looks as though you are having a lovely time in Tokyo - where is Troll, cant
see him, is he still alive, or have you overworked him to death?
Have put an offer on a flat in Saffron Walden, so when you come back you

Hi to you both,
Just had a bit of catch up on all the journeys, you must be learning so much, not like me stuck in Luton, although I did join the library a few weeks ago, so maybe I can learn something in Luton too (who needs world wide trips!) Anyway, I am back to school, after my lovely six weeks off, so it will be suport hard to see all your lovely pics when I am working hard! Doh!! Me and Mark moving down to Hitchin in a couple of months, lovely new flat right in town centre, so we are both looking forward to that!! Whooooppeeeeeeeeeee! (Not that we don't love living with Mark's parents!) Anyways, see if your can try and smile a bit more in a few of the photos Tim! Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese! Lou xxx

In the last few days we have had visits from our extended family including our two great grandsons, Dylan and Francesco. We have spoken to Dad and wonder when you will be meeting up with him in Miri. He seems to be very pleased with his house and all the surrouding facilities. We will continue to follow your progress with real interest. Hey you guys !!!!!!!!
How's life in Tokyo !
We are waiting for our train that's gonna take us to Shanghai and then back to Montreal ! after we left Chengdu we felt like we needed to see some nature of any kind, so we left to north Sichuan and stayed there for a couple weeks. now we are in Yangshou, where we just sat back and relax.
by the way, you remember those sleepers we got from Xi'an to Chengdu......well good thing we had those, the train took longer then expected. we arrived in Chengdu at 5am. in total it was a 16 hours train. it would have been like death having to wait 16 hours sit in a hard sit . wouf
You site is really nice, i really like that picture of you guys in kimono.
wish you a happy time in Tokyo.
SImon and Magalie
take it easy, we'll have a couple beers in the train for you guys !!!!!

Bonjour all
...Just settlling into Tokyo life, wandered around the love hotel district yesterday, we wanted to splurge on a room with a giant swimming pool and hawaii theme, but the light on the panel went out (which means someone else just took it), so we'll try and get in there later. Going to watch a samba festival now, which apparently brings an eyeful of flesh to the reserved Japanese, so that'll be nice. Pulling an all-nighter with 2 guys we met on the ferry over here tonight, meeting them at midnight, then will attempt to keep standing until the metro opens again at six, taxis are expensive!!
Max, Matt and Jane - Have a great trip to Scotland, Sure it will be fun
Mum and Dad - Great news to hear your now reading the postcards!! Probably alot more interesting after a drink or two!
Zel - Had a great meal few days ago, thought how much you'dve liked it - morsels of seafood, dressed with edible flowers, blowtorched mackeral, deep fried squid stuffed with vegetables and peach and wasabi ice cream, all washed down with sake. Get on it boy- sounds like your still cooking up a storm back home, so looking forward to a homecoming meal (yeah, already!)
Paul T - Any more thoughts about christmas time mate? - No news is bad news
M & D (C & P)
We have only just discovered the "postcards" - being virgins to this site.
It is Friday evening and accompanied by two double gins (and that's just M)
we have spent a very enjoyable half hour browsing the pictures - we could
feel the relief of the footbath, but didn't fancy having our bottoms clenched.
We have printed out the pic of you both in your kimonos - but really Tim,
white socks and flip-flops are not quite the ticket!
Where is Troll in Japan?
Matt Jane and Max visiting tomorrow, before flying off to Scotland.
Shortly afterwards, Jane is going to Dubai for work (business class, cost £3,000)
Matt is travelling in baggage for £1.50.
