With the welcome text coming through from spark I had realised we had finally reached Portugal. After 6 hours in a bus with wifi that was as slow as a herd of snails traveling through peanut butter we were ready for Porto. After a long walk from the bus station and a few laps of Porto trying to find the hostel we finally made it, as at this stage my shoulders were dead which luckily for me we were staying at the Porto alive hostel. The next day we joined the free walking tour which with a ginger tour guide from Ireland I thought was going to be good then not long into the tour there were a few Game of thrones references which made the tour that much more enjoyable. Dinner time came and we cooked up some stunning eggs on toast which was washed down with some super bock. With the speaker playing the group of Spanish girls decided to join us. Much like the bus wifi the next day was slow waking up at around mid day. Quick brekkie then off for a walk across the bridge for some port wine and snaps off the city. Amazing view back over the city with uncountable orange roofs. After a few pictures and attempting to spot a non-orange roof we were back down to the port to have some port. After a few sips my tastebuds had had enough and Jack was able to have the rest. Walk back over to the main area a hearty feed for lunch, supermarket then back to the hostel. Meatballs and pasta this time with a sauce was whipped up by Hugo Ramsay and Jack Oliver which was not quite as scrumptious as we thought it would be. After asking the two Americans who were staying in the hostel about trump which did not go down well nor did the part when I said I supported him. As they then ignored us and stormed off. This essential drawing an end to the day. Sleep needed as we leave for Coimbra tomorrow as we make our way down to Lagos.
