25/06/2005 : We finally made it Vegas yesterday and after a lot of hastle with our accomodation we are finally settled in. The hostel we were supposed to be staying at was 30mins from the strip and was in the dodgiest neighbourhood you could imagine. We checked in and went up to our room, only to find that it hadnt been cleaned and looked like somebody was already staying there. After assessing how much it would cost for us to take taxis to and from the strip we decided it would be more cost effective to book into a hotel on the strip and walk everywhere. We are settled in to a hotel called the 'Westward Ho!' and its in a great location - its on the strip just 5 mins from the big casino's like the Mirage, Bellagio and the MGM Grand! We have been taking full advantage of all the facilities that our hotel has to offer. We have mostly been sunning ourselves by the pool/jacuzzi and filling up on the all you can eat buffets!! We've had a look around all of the big casino's on the strip and did a little big of gambling tonight at the Bellagio (we only bet $10 each!). Tomorrow night we are going to watch the Pirate show at the Treasure Island casino and then off for the all you can eat at Aladin's casino before trying our luck again at Caesars Palace! We'll report back soon! Take care, K & M x x 28/06/2005 : We leave Vegas today after 4 fun filled days. We won a little and also lost a little cash but altogether it was a good laugh. We fly to San Francisco in a couple of hours so we will keep you updated on our lastest adventures when we get there. We hope everyone at home is ok. Lots of love, K & M x x
