28/06/2005 : We arrived here this afternoon after an ok flight from Vegas. The weather here is pretty good. Its not as hot as Vegas but we're still going to top up our tans! We've already been for a little look around to check out our surroundings and to get our bearings. We are planning on doing quite a bit of tourist stuff like going to Pier 39, Alcatraz and Fishermans Wharf. Its going to be pretty mental this weekend as its Independance weekend so we might just have to go out and have a few drinks!!!! We'll keep you updated on our latest escapades when they happen. Take care, K & M x x 05/07/2005 : Yesterday was Independance day here. It wasnt as exciting as we thought it was going to be. Not many people were out partying so we think that people must have stayed home and had parties there. On Sunday we went on a cable car down to Fishermans Wharf to book our Alcatraz trip which we are going to go on tomorrow. It should be really good. They take you on a tour of the prison and let you see all of the cells where prisoners like Al Capone were kept and then they take you on a cruise of the San Francisco bay and take you all around the Golden Gate Bridge. We leave for New York on Friday morning - another very early flight at 7am!! We arrive in New York on Friday night at about 11pm and we meet up with Ashley and Lorna when we get there. We cant wait to have a really girly week which will probably involve a lot of alcohol and a lot of laughs!! We cant believe we are home in just over a week. The time has really flown.
