So glad we decided to break our trip with an overnight stay in Toronto. Initial impressions of Toronto - stylish and sophisticated with impressive architecture and it's oh, so flat and right on the edge of Lake Ontario which seems like a sea!
Catching the bus to downtown was very easy with a stop on the block of our hotel. After settling in we went for a walk and only going less than a block we discovered a row of restaurants. We picked the relaxed looking O & B Canteen, being well looked after by Dimitri who says to his manager that we have some Australians here. Imogen is an expat from Adelaide who has worked in Toronto for 10 years. She made us feel very welcome and was very pleased to have a chat with us even offering to assist us during our stay if required! It made a great night before retiring to our room to get some admin done for our USA leg tomorrow. This included getting some sleep!
