Day 169, 170 - Raglan, North Island - Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd April 2012
Lazy, lazy, lazy explains our two days in Raglan. Raglan is a really laid back surfing town in NZ and so taking that into account we decided to be as laid back as we possibly could be - translated this means we did literally nothing!
The two days merged into a mixture of us wandering around the town, drinking copious amounts of coffee, taking in the sunsets and reading up on countries for the rest of our trip. Oh and of course eating; that always takes up quite a lot of our days. Adam discovered a chickpea burger and declared he could consider being a vegetarian, which made me laugh so much that I had to remind him of the time we went to a vegetarian restaurant in Brighton where he asked the waitress "so you don't have any meat?" to which the answer was "No sir it is a vegetarian restaurant" and he then proceeded to say "What not even chicken?" - me thinks Ad is not quite ready for vegetarianism!
Whilst in Raglan, we'd played with the idea of hiring a surfboard but with the sea being so cold we decided this was going to take far too much effort and so the most energetic thing we did in the two days was jumping on the pillow trampoline in the park; that itself was truly knackering! Ah the joys of being unemployed travel bums…………….
