Halong Bay is about 2 1/2 hours by bus from Hanoi, we board our Junk "Aloha" and check into our luxury cabin for the night!

Halong Bay swweps past - limestone Karsts towering out of emerald green water, as we have our lunch of Crab, Gambas, Vognole, rice and fish - YUM.

We have a relaxing afternoon watching the scenery and exploring "Amazing Cave". It's a little touristy here but still beautiful.

The second day we get in our Kayaks early for a day exploring the lagoons and bays. This is awesome as yu can really get a feel for the size of the Karst towers, we see lots of eagles swooping for prey in the water and jellyfish, birds. Best of al is the fact that we are alone on the water - just our four Kayaks are in view, which is great - nice to be away from the hoardes of tourists doing just a day trip.

We transferred to a luxury resort (for once!) for the night where we had a group dinner and we decided to chill out for the next day before getting the speed boat back to the dock and on the bus to Hanoi.

One more night in Hanoi where we find a great couple of pubs and eat some great food before we catch the plane to Vientiane in Laos.
