No worries mate...
that's basically how our first 2 weeks in Australia were. No worries. Not sure if it's Anton with his good luck following him but things have been smooth and eventfull...So to sum up our time in Melbourne...
been living in the house and touristing around the central city, gardens and colourfull streets of Melbourne. it's crazy how in just 10 meters you can go from central business district with the skyscrapers, to a fantastic park and on to a China-town district. We did some beaches, layed in the sand and got driven away by the pouring down rains that come out of nowhere and soak everything in just seconds. Ate kangaroo (!!!!) meat, which was delicious and appearently one of the cheapest meats in Australia. Out of the blue, and once again driven by his good luck, Anton got the most random job wlist enjoyng his dinner and ended up painting a house for one day... and scrubbing off the paint from his skin for another two. :)
On Sunday it was the St. Kilda festival here in the area with thousands of people on the streets, stages, music and performances of all kinds. Spent the whole day strolling along the streets with our house-mates and tasting the varieties of the Australian beers.
Our car is officially done!!!!!Checked, fixed, safe and sound it's ready for our big trip. So this is kind of a goodbye-Melbourne blog entry. Next stop - the Great Ocean Road so we'll probably be gone offline for a week or two.
Take care everybody, miss you all (especially the mummies and the daddies and the brothers)
love you all,
over and out for the last time from Melbourne
