So here we are, Bangkok, the final destination after almost a year on the road...

From Pattaya we jumped on a bus to Bangkok and had, once again, a near-death experience. The crazy drives flew in 140 km/hour, honking and overtaking from all sides whilst waving his fist to all bypassers. But we made it all the way in one piece and the funny thing is, that EVERYONE in BKK drive the same way. In a city that never sleeps and is on the move 24/7 this has a fantastic effect: the traffic is basically standing still and everyone's honking at everyone. But it doesn't matter to us- we walk all the time, which creates another big problem in this city. The tuk-tuk drivers here have developed, probably, the most irritating phrase on the planet "Hey you, were you go". Even if you're walking the 15m to the closest 7eleven for some water it is COMPLETELY unacceptable: "Why you walk? No one walk in Bangkok. Tuk-tuk, I give you good price"..... all day long... FUN

To be honest, since we were so city and civilization deprived, we have loved every single thing about Bakgkok. The jammed streets, skyscrapers, luxurious shops and restaurants that mix with the food courts, millions of people and street markets, where one can buy everything from a baby squirrel (?! still don't get why anyone would need one) to a Gucci bag. And in a true "luxury meets backpackers"- style we've ended our Asia-tour with a visit to a roof-top bar. 360-degree view of the city while sitting 61 floors above the ground with a bloody expensive glass of wine... An amazing experience in an amazing city.

And this is it, folks. Almost a year of almost freakvent updates is now officially over. The plane is taking off tomorrow, with an estimated touch-down on Swedish groung sometime extremely early Saturday morning. An end of an era... And (quite poetically, sorry for that) we're leaving with no regrets, fantastic experiences, amazing new friends and a great lot of missing you all!
