On the road again....
Yes, we are still sound and alive and travelling along the Eastern coast. After a bunch of extremely sad goodbyes at our beloved vineyard we have, so far, driven almost 2000km and are back in the sunshine!
The first week on the road basically rained away. The sights along the way were amazing but no bigger desire to get out of the car when everything is soaked and cold. So we drove on, with one important stop being Sunshine coast and their amuzement park. Anton was, once again, forced up to the skyes and now we can proudly check off the tallest free-fall attraction in the world - 118m down. That was cool!
Otherwise the vacartion started again after we reached Rockhampton and crossed over into the tropics! Sun, blue sky, cristall clear waters and turquise ocean. And bloody killers jelly-fish in the water! So everyone has to wear these silly suits that basically protect you from being burbned to death. Cozy!
Impossible to tell about all the amazing places we saw and all the things we experienced but the highlight worth mentioning is a 3-day cruise with a wooden sailing boat in the Whitsundays Islands. 3 days in an own cabin, food served and the only thing we had to do being to sit back and enjoy the ride. And by God we did! Snorkelled 3 times a day, sat on the deck in the sun and soaked in the amazing views of the Great Barrier Reef, hung out with the crazy co-passengers and listened to all the sea stories our crew had to tell. Amazing 3 days that were over way too soon...considered for a while to chain us to the big mast and refuse to leave but...yeah, still a lot of kilometers ahead of us until Cairns.
Today is going to be remembered as a milestone in our trip: we posted the ad to sell Bruce. Sad, since now it really feels that our OZ experience is coming to an end. But be sure to get at least one more entry before we head off for Asia.
For now, over and out from the two sunburned sailors!!!!
