How we went car-shopping and ended up with accomodation... So...an eventfull first week in Australia is coming to its end. Stayed at the hostel till Saturday and have been homeless since. Or close to homeless anyways. On Saturday we went car shopping. First at a car dealer's- no luck. Afterwards we stumbeld over a couple of ads in a coffe shop and had to go to a totally different area of Melbourne - St. Kilda. Got here by tram and it feels like beeing in a tota...

Sleepless in Melbourne...well, here we are. After 26 hours of crazy flying, bad airplane meals and crowded seating areas we are finally here. Jetlag is a bit*h and despite our best attempts to fight it we haven\'t been able to sleep in 2 days now. But hey, that\'s life of a backpacker huh?!The arrival to Australia was extremely uneventfull and undramatic. Almost sad, keeping in mind our preparations for full body scans, questions in dark rooms and strip searches....

The point of no return.... With school done, last weekend at work over and bags all packed we have finally reached the glorious "point of no return" - the tickets from now on aren't refundable. So here we go! As you can see on the map the trip is planned for a year, covering Australias Eastern coast and bits and pieces in South East Asia with no definite plan except for Singapore.
