Our trip began with a visit to the cemetery to pay our respects to Robert's Aunty Bruna Paluzzano. This was just off the autostrada on the way from the airport in Venice. Today we paid respects to another Aunty Paluzzano, this one is buried in Paese. We were picked up by Savina and Esther, Esther is Robert's cousin and we met Savina on our last visit in 2009, when we had the Paluzzano reunion. Savina organised our visit after a chat on Facebook. I was sitting watching netball on a winters day a week before we left and she was at work in Paese. When she found out we were sailing in and out of Venice she jumped at the chance for a family gathering. We spent the day visiting the Duomo of Treviso, the town centre with its coffee shops, we had to try out the coffee and watch the world go by on a beautiful summers day. Lunch was at home with all that could make it, Cousins Esther and her brother Walter (they live in the same house, one upstairs the other down). Walter's son Samual, Savina (who is Jonathon's wife, Jonathon is Walter's son, he was at work). Walter's wife prepared the meal, the meal ended after old photos were shown of our visit in 1991 - ouch! Another great day with family that we see infrequently, but each time it feels like yesterday. They are always welcoming and offer their homes, cars which is very handy for the pick ups and drop offs at airports or train stations. Although this time their have been changes to house, the kitchen has been renovated, I am jealous. Due to work commitments Savina and Jonathon's two boys Angelo and Matteo are minded by Nonno and Zia Esther.
