...both the name of our airline of the day, and the way in which we motored through Hong Kong in 5.5 hours on our stopover.
We are breaking with tradition of a blog post per area where we overnight, as we had the chance to actually tour Hong Kong when our flight got changed. It was a whirlwind experience of sky high buildings, a beautiful harbour, and limited visibility! But according to the man at the tourist desk, this is the way Hong Kong always looks. We took a quick ferry ride on the harbour before going into the old town to tackle the steep streets while huffing and puffing (it was a loooong travel day), before collapsing in the air conditioned Apple store to use some wi-fi. We delighted in hearing all the British accents again, and Clare loved that there was a shop advertising fish and chips. Oh the things you miss! We hesitated to stray too far as we needed to remember to get back to the airport, and of course once we got back the flight had been delayed again. But after almost 24 hours of being awake, we eventually made it safely to Da Nang, and then Hoi An, where we now sit having a rest day.
