Hello, Terry and nic here!
We were sad to say goodbye to Alice and Dave in Singapore but had time for dinner on the beach before our night flight to Melbourne. We landed at 6am and hired our hire car... a very trendy beige Nissan. Terry attempted to drive it out of the carpark but was unable to handle the automatic controls, so Nicola took over (!) I used the left shoe off technique which Anna Brice taught me 5 years ago.
Melbourne is cold, but we expected that. We found our way to helene’s house and it was great to see Greensborough. Unfortunately Terry has been struck down with a tummy bug in Melbourne and spent Thursday in bed with a temperature. But on Friday Terry felt a bit better and we were able to go into the city and go up the Eureka tower (the highest viewing point in the southern hemisphere!!) We then met up with Helene and went to watch Aussie rules at the Etihad stadium, it was a good game! Our past few days have been sponsered by 'Gastro-Stop' an Australian wonder drug!
We drove our hire care out to Healesville sanctuary yesterday and had a BBQ with the rymers yesterday evening...
Tomorrow we driving to Apollo bay along the great ocean road...
Thanks for your comments! We have uploaded some photos from Asia! (check out the album section

PHILIPPA Hi Nic and Terry By the way, Glyn, Sam and I saw a Koala bear when we visited the Blue Moountains, I was so excited until we found out it was a cuddly toy someone had put in a tree!! I wonder if it's still there and if anyone else is as gullible as me!!!
