Thursday was the first day of 2015 and we were hoping it would be a good one. We left at 6am ready to see some cool animals. We started the day by seeing a cheetah and her 3 cubs. We have seen a few cheetahs but this time it was exciting because we saw it chase after a gazelle at its top speed of 110 kph. Today we were only looking for animals. We left at 8 am looking for some new exciting animals. We saw a pack of jackals play fighting, some zebra, antelope, Cape buffalo and we even saw a large pride of lions with 17 lions all together. There were about 8 Cubs and 8 large females and one male, and we saw 3 cheetahs, one large female and 2 Cubs!

That morning we started our long 9 hour drive to Serengeti national park. Most of it was just driving but we also saw millions of wildabeast and few lions and even some hyenas! When we finally arrived at the lodge we had dinner and fell asleep enclosed in our mosquito nets.

That morning us and the Ryan, oflahertys got up early and started the drive to tarangiri national park. With our safari guides James and Allen kweka. The drive was long but we saw some animals on the way. We saw giraffes, elephants, warthogs, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, impalas and a variety of large colourful birds. That night we stayed at lake burunge tented camp and went to sleep wondering what animals we would see the next day.

After dar se salaam we flew to mt Kilimanjaro wich took about an hour and then drove to Arusha. We stayed the night at the African tulip hotel looking forward to safari the next day.
