Ahh.. Home Sweet Home, well the next best thing anyway.  Met up with Laura who we met in Hervey Bay and introduced her to uncle frank as she came to stay for a few days which was nice at least we actually did the sight seeing bit and not just sat and watched telly.  WE wandered along the foreshore and out to Nobbys lighthouse which was nice, treated ourselves to Fish & Chips in the best fish resturante, Scratchleys, and went for a road trip aro...

Well thats it the Australian chapter has closed and now we are starting to open the next one ! Cairns was lovely and i really enjoyed my time there. The diving was amazing and we saw loads of really cool stuff BUT no Nemos couldnt believe it. Now made it to our last destination before we fly back to Newcastle for a few days before chapter 3 begins in New Zealand.  Since Hervey Bay we've been on up the coast to Airlie Beach where we did a 3 day sailing trip onboard Condor (a maxi yacht) going round the islands and snorkelling.  The sailing once we got going was brilliant with the boat riding on its side and us clinging to the high side.  We then carried on up the coast and visited to...

Well, Fraser Island is an amazing place and i love it.  We have seen some sharks which was pretty cool, loads of fish trying to swim away from the sharks, turtles, and a few whlaes at a distance.  The 4WDriving was really good fun and we never got bogged or tipped over.  I thik Tom really enjoyed the driving side of the trip.  Setting up camp was a good laugh and we had some really cool people in our group which made the trip.  Not much s...

Hi Guys, just a quicky to let you know what we have been up to in the last few days. We are staying with friends which is lovely, having home comforts. We have had a few walks into the city which is really nice, visited Parliment house, attempted the XXXX brewery tour but it was all booked out. Been to the cinema to see Miami vice and had a little ride on the river cat which was nice. Oh and its rained pretty much every day since we arrive ! Good for brisbane...
