Gudday mates!, or it would be a good day if it would PLEASE STOP RAINING!!!!!!!!! Yep, Queensland or "the sunshine state" as all the numberplates round hear proclaim has greated us with 4 days of continuous rainfall, attribited to a nice big cyclone which has parked up about 100kms from the coast and is refusing to move! It has somewhat dampened spirits because we wern't able to do white water rafting, or skydiving or any trips out of cairns to see cape tribulation (where the jungle meets the beach), so we had to settle with doing the great barrier reef! I know, your hearts must bleed for us! The visibility wasn't great (because of the weather) but we did get to swim with a sea turtle and see a few varieties of colourful fish, so can't complain! At the minute we are both feeling the pince from the increased cost of living in australia and are trying to budget for the rest of the trip- needless to say a few free nights accommodation in sydney wouldn't go unappreciated- are you listening kruti!?!! We move on tomorrow to magnetic island, the biggest koala sanctuary in australia, so hopefully we'll get some good pictures! Finally i'd just like to say good effort to all of juans mates who are writing encouraging messages of support for him on our message board!
