Thursday 25th June 2009 Today after we got up and sorted we decided to try and find the friendship bakery which is recommended in the lonely planet for Brunch. In theory it should have been very easy but in practice it didn't turn out to be so easy, the map in the lonely planet was incorrect and nobody seemed to know where it was so 3 hours after leaving the guesthouse we eventually found it and it was a big disappointment (so we were now having a late lunch)!! ...

Monday 22nd June 2009, Cambodia-Laos We left Ban Lung today at about 8:30am. Our 1st destination of the day was the Cambodian/Laos boarder. We had to get a local mini bus to Stung Treng, which is the closest town to the boarder. Both Ban Lung and Stung Treng are in the north east so it only took about 2-3 hours. Following are last entry from Kratie just a little bit to add about the night time of that day which would be Thursday evening we had dinner at the starlight guesthouse which was very nice but what was not so nice was the flying COCKROACHES (never knew cockroaches could fly till we got to Cambodia) that kept dive bombing us and they were not little!! We didn't enjoy it one little bit, the local's found it very amusing and couldn't understand why we were so scared...

Wednesday 17th June 2009, Kratie Another early start as we were due to be picked up from our hotel at 7:30am. It was more like 7:45 but not bad for asian time keeping. Lisa had already left at 6:15am for her journey to Vietnam so we were back to just the 2 of us. The bus left Phnom Penh at 8am and we arrived in Kratie at just after 2:30pm.
