Hotel nikko is pretty swish, located close to Union Sq. we had an hours sleep then took a tram ride to Fishermans Wharf, had a great meal at Aliosos overlooking the harbour. I had seafood sausage to start and fresh trout stuffed with mushrooms and herbs then wrapped in prosciutto, yum! Sue had slices of smoked salmon with a caper, lemon and parsley salsa then fresh sole stuffed with duxelle of mushroom. A really old established restaurant same family for 50 years or more, waiters in dinner jackets, bow ties, very proper. Back to the hotel tried to sleep up at 3 am made coffee tried again at 4.30 am woke at 11.30 am. Went to a little place called Mamas, had to queue outside for an hour. Sat down at 2 and had breakfast, too much food! Took a tram ride to Fish Wharf, went on a ferry ride to The Bridge and round Alcatraz. Found a French restaurant for dinner which had a Jazz band, a good evening although the pate was not a good as Jono's. Knackered again!!

Jacki Sounds like you doing a Restaurant Benchmarking trip. Ready for the next Evans restaurant that will be in the family for 50 years :)
