Arrived in Canberra the capital of Australia, its in a separate territory called Australias capital territory funny enough. Canberra gets a bad name for not being Australian at all (not necessarly a bad thing), but we love it after all the big cities its nice to see a capital city which is very green and almost rural, its very friendly and not a tourist hotspot (Yet). They have 3 parliaments the old one (which is in the picture) which proved too small and so the new one just behind it was built and the 3rd being a tent campground that the aboriginies set up to protest against stolen land. The new parliament has a free tour which is not to be missed. It is built into the hill so that you can walk over the top making sure that the people are always above the parliament. It has internal waterfalls to create white noise so that there can be no ease dropping, and is set out in 3 stages of old modern and future. Its well designed and has a lot of interesting and meaning full details, although its hilarious that they can't turn the water feature on as the government has water restrictions. The best bit however was that we were aloud to go into question time to see them in progress, we seen John Howard who looked somehwhat bored but a great experience. They also have a war memorial which apparently the most visited attraction in Australia (although this is highly unlikely in our eyes) Anyway a lovely place with a great yha hostel. DON'T MISS IT OUT
