We arrived in Ko Chang about 4 hours late. The coach took forever. We even lost part of the bus on the motorway and then reversed in the fast lane to pick it up!!! Anyway, we arrived in one piece. Ko Chang is beautiful, the bars on the beach all had mats on the sand with candles/lanterns etc. It didn't seem busy and it was heaven. We checked into a hut on the beach. When i say hut i mean a hut!!! After our place in Bangkok this was a hole. Dagmar please visit this place and sort it out! ha ha. In the morning the sun was up the sky was blue and the beach was packed!!! Not so heavenly... I decided to take the plunge and become a qualified diver. It took 4 days, with one of them in a class room! Hmmmm. It was worth it though as the coral and fish were amazing. Can't believe i am actually qualified to dive. Cool. Shame Lorna would have loved it too but because of her bad ear she is not able to dive, ever :O( Lorna did a Thai cooking course instead and I must say brought home the nicest spring rolls ever!!! Cool. In the kitchen from now on. We had the fifth day on the beach nursing hangovers. The dive master made me down a huge beer through a snorkel! We head off to Cambodia tomorrow with out new friend Kate. We are going in a minibus. The journey takes approx 12 hours (in Thailand that means 4 weeks) on some of the worst roads in the world.
