We spent a quiet few days in Wanaka just relaxing with a few beers/glasses of wine by the lake taking in the wonderful views. We did manage to tear ourselves away from this idillic setting to visit 'Puzzling World' the strangest tourist attraction ever. Basically it is a collection of a few holograms, bizarre visual effects and wooden puzzles. After all that excitement we drove up the road to the 'Toy Museum'. Now this was really worth the effort. Never have I seen such a collection of Star Wars figures, Smurfs, Barbie Dolls and Matchbox Cars they must have been worth a fortune. This was all interspersed with the odd MIG Jet, Furry Morris Minor and a Push Me Pull U car, a highly entertaining afternoon.
On the last evening we were planning the next few days down to the Fox Glacier when we spotted a comet in the sky (see the photos) apparently you won't be able to see the McNaught Comet again for another 8600 years so we were pretty lucky eh !!!
