Just a quick one as I am terribly behind with this blinkin' journal!! After a bumpy flight from Rarotonga, we arrived in Nadi at 3am, got taken to our hotel by the meanest taxi driver ever and went to bed in our room which stunk to high heaven of Toilet Duck. The next day, we arranged a couple of day trips, the first to "Treasure Island", which was a great day out, we felt like the only ones on the island. The sun shone, we saw loads of fish when snorkelling in the sea, this was more like it! I couldn't snorkel for long as I had toe injuries from my fins when we did our dives in Rarotonga and they really stung and the feeder fish were after them. The next day we went to a cultural village and were entertained by the locals of the village, we had a traditional lunch and a paddle up the river. It poured it down all day but it was still warm. That night, we went for dinner with Bev and Ron, a 75 year old couple from Sacramento, they were fab!
