Day 66 only!
Today we have come to a beautiful little ancient town/village called Hoi an and it's our favourite place so far! (I know I keep saying that lol but this actually is!) it's so peaceful and chilled out compared to the other places we have visited in Vietnam so far which is nice!
We are just sitting having some lunch on the river and thought whilst I had wifi - Hoi-an deserves it's only blog entry and I will do Da nang separately in a few days before we leave for Ho Chi Minh city.
There are coloured lanterns and decorations everywhere here and loads of little boutique shops so we are spending our day walking round (I've bought the obligatory pair of elephant pants so I might finally start to blend in!) everyone stares at us in Vietnam as jake is about 10ft taller than the average male over here and I'm the only blonde girl I've seen! So together we must look like a right weird pair! Haha.
We are going to have tea here before heading back to Da nang later tonight and I'm looking forward to seeing all the lanterns and coloured lights lit up once it falls dark!
I've not took nearly enough pictures of this beautiful place yet so I'll post the pics later once we're back at our hotel!
Chow for now xxxxx

Mum/Michelle Sounds Beautiful Steph and we was buzzing at going to the Manchester Christmas Markets yesterday I know who id swap with ha ha... I'm sure their will also be other places along your adventure that you also fall in love with, I think you have both had the most wonderful experiences so far that your both still in awe of everything around you and how vast the world is am I right. Also how the other half of our world lives is sooooo very different to ours isn't it....different but special at the same time. You are both still very much missed by us all by the sounds of it, though keep trekking guys cos your blog is just amazing for us all to read and the pictures are astounding. Love yas both xxx
Maurice and Margaret Lloyd Hoi An was a good place to visit. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. Lot to see and do there. I am sure the locals do not think you are weird. Probably thinking what a handsome couple. Lot to see in Da Nang too. There was a huge American air base there during the civil war which suffered heavy attacks from the Viet Cong. Received your Moonpig Christmas card today. Thank you and Happy Christmas to you both. Let me know if you need anything. Stay safe. xxx
