Scott driving the boat. We left for the reef at 8:30 in the morning and it took us about 2 hours to reach the start of it, 30km away. The seas were choppy but the wind and seas died down later in the day. We stayed the night in the boat and fished until about 2pm the following day, when we came home. It was an epic trip and we ended up with about 70 kilos of fish - not a great amount for the effort. And most unfortunately, the great spanish mackerel evaded us.
