Squirrel on tour
A visit to Palm Springs wasnt actually on the packed agenda, however, the drive back from Vegas to LA was bigger than we thought. So we randomly picked somewhere in the middle as a stop over to have a little kip (as you do). However, one night ended up going into two. The hotel we were staying in was also the hotel of the Palm Springs baseball team. So after an afternoon of chatting by the pool we managed to blag tickets to the game that night and free signed baseballs. We were obviously lucky mascots for them because they ended up winnning. They dont normally apparently. And to top Sam and I got forced to enter a hulla hoop comp against these 3 seven year olds. I used to be a pro when I was younger and obviously still have the wiggle coz I ended up winning!!! I won a piggy bank but I have no use of it as I have no money so I gave it to the runner up (this cutie little kid that was really good and I should have let win. But the competitive side of me kicked in and I couldnt give in. To top it was on tv and I got interviewed by a reporter. For the remainder of the game I was a celebrity in Palm Springs. Everyone was coming up to me congratulating me on my victory. How funny!!
Well thats all folks on my tales of Palm Springs. Apart from a day at the ball game we just practiced what were good at, topping up the tans in the baking heat. Good job coz the weather has turned now we have entered the east side. Grrrrr.
lots of love x x x x x
