Hey
I cant remember if iv written about the Whitsundays Sailing trip? i think i did but if not it was awsome.
The roads of Australia have been far from safe of late as i have been tearing around in all kinds of wonderous machines! I went to the town of 1770, Agnes Water and stayed at a really nice chilled out hostel called Southern cross. I went on the Scooteroo tour which is famous up and down the east coast amongst backpackers and people go there just for this tour. You go out on wicked bikes that look like mini Harleys (mine was yellow with flames on the tank, i loved it and was seriously tempted to run off with it. We drove around all over the town and afar stopping to speak to a few kangeroos along the way who happened to hop across the road, then went to a pub for wedges and a beer to watch the sun set, unbelieveable - i loved every minute.
I met a few girls at the hostel who i joined in their car down to Rinbow Beach, i drove most of the way - slightly worried at the beginning, not having driven since i passed 3 yrs ago, but it was all good. We booked on to a self drive Fraser Island tour, a group of 8 in a 4x4 truck called Trevor, tents, goon, and sausages! We survived and had an amazing time. Driving Trev was sooooooo much fun, the beach is the main road, the whole island is sand and there are some awsome tracks inland which had us in a few dodgy situations at times, but we managed to dig, push and rev poor trev out of it! This morning we got up from our camp on the beach at 4am to watch the sun rise - just us on this huge stretch of beach, slightly hung over, staring at the pink sky.
Big hugs and love
Watch out England - il be on a motorbike when i return!!!!!
