If you go to Cambodia....fly. Dont do what we did. You learn from your mistakes, and so if ur reading this thinking you might wanna go to Cambodia...take our advice and fly. We have been traveling for 28 hours solid..give or take 30 mins for a quick KFC along the way. Our train down to Bangkok was even worse than b4..its a good laugh but why they call it a \"sleeper\" train i have no idea..the only bloke on the train who WAS sleeping was the mad jap above me (this is john by the way...i thought id actually do this post card for a change)...none of us really managed to sleep too well, and after 14 hours of rattling around, sweating our t*** off, windows falling open...listening to mad jap snoring...we arrived in bangkok...jumped on a coach to the boarder of cambodia...which took another 5 hours...still no sleep. We jumped the queue ahead of a load of thai people...which was sweet..but we did get some funny looks..and then got our visas and passports stamped...and then walked across the boarder to Cambodia...we were strongly advised in the Lonely Planet, bu our guide up north in Chaing Mai and by several people we met along the way...NOT TO TRAVEL AT NIGHT as it is seriously dangerous...especially if u are white. So what did we do...we got in a taxi thinking it would be a 3.5 hour ride to Siem Reap..but it ended up being more like 6 hours...we met a german dude who came in the taxi with us to lower the price per head...4 people..4 big bags...4 day bags...a driver who DIDNT know the direction and who didnt speak a word of english apart from OK OK...great...it was getting dark and we were driving along the WORST road ive ever seen...for those of u who know the legendary bumpy bulmershe...its about 10 times as bad...ive no idea how the taxi didnt fall apart beneath us...but still...we carried on going...we slowly drove past a massive truck in the road...wilbo then puts his head down VERY quickly and informs us all that there are about 10 blokes all armed with AK-47 machine guns, bandanas, all looking in our car...to be blunt...we shat ourselves....we dont pray, or go to church but at that moment we were all looking at the ground thinking...please god im too young to die..i think wilbo was more worried about having his hair products stolen to be honest!!! So after a lot of traveling we made it to our guest house which is fairly nice...a comfy bed each with air con and friendly staff..all have our bags still, and are alive and able to walk which is the main thing. Although our shower is sick...the water may as well be sewage..it smells SO BAD i swear to god im not showering in there again...you get in a shower to get CLEAN not to come out smelling worse than you got in. Hope everyone back home is ok, and id like to take this opportunity to say COME ON CHELSEA!!! Still the best team in England...loved adams face last night when Man U lost.... Peace out xx
