hi everyone - so sorry its been so long since we wrote - our last few weeks in SE Asia were bit manic but absolutely brilliant. As you can probably now tell we're in Oz!

From the Thai Islands we caught a very long bus to into Malaysia and headed to KL. Actually a really nice city, did all the usual sight-seeing stuff, towers very impressive. From there we headed up to Taman Negera (a National Park in NE of Malaysia - its jungle and has the longest canopy walk in the world). Unfortunately for us the 3 days we were there it rained constantly (after not raining for 5 weeks!!) - we know why its called the rainforest!

Have never been so wet in all our lives but was actually brilliant - quite an experience - managed to do one of the main trails through the forest, absolutely beautiful but got attacked by leeches - they are possibly the most disgusting things i've ever come across - total parasites and very very persistent!! :(

anyway, we won't bore you with any more gore - left the rainforest and made our way to Singapore for couple fo days before flying to Oz. We're in Cairns at the moment but everywheres flooded so we're a bit limited to what we can do - hoping it'll dry up soon and we can get moving again, theres so much to see!! we'll keep u posted......!
