Hi guys just thought we'd post this - funny story! Went to the billabong hostel at 6 in the morning and it was a complete s**t hole. It was crawling with cockroaches and flies and we couldn't get into our bed because the only beds free were the top bunks and there were people on the bottom ones and no ladders! to make things worse we couldn't turn the lights on because everyone was asleep so there we were stood in the dark at 6 in the morning with no where to sleep! Also we had to carry our bags up four flights of stairs whilst disturbing angry Australian men who were yelling because we'd woken them up!

When we came downstairs to decide what to do we spotted these guys carrying tin cans and spoons heading towards the 'breakfast area' to get there milk and bread....which looked so appetising! thankfully due to Soph's Lonely Planets Guide book we found a hotel near the hostel and so booked one night's stay there. we are currently waiting for three hours for our room to be ready. on the way over our taxi driver kindly informed us that the aboriginal girls who live in the train station would punch us if they saw us as they don't like white girls, we are therefore staying in all day and night! perhaps we should have taken some more of Leo's kickboxing classes! Looking forwad to getting in our room and some decent sleep, as on our second flight we didn't get any sleep as although we had exit seats we were also near the 'kids play area' where every mum decided to bring there toddlers to crawl up and down!

Lester is picking us up sunday morning from the hotel and are staying there for a couple of weeks so we are both really looking forwad to that.

p.s. just thought you'd like to know when we arrived at 5 this morning it was 30 degrees and it is now 41! hope you're enjoying the sunny weather where you are too! x x x
