We arrived in Darwin just after midnight. It had been a long day and a long week so we were very tired. It was amazing to arrive into Darwin into 25+ degrees - instant Summer after a cold Sydney winter.

We took a taxi to the hotel and after a bit of fluffing around we fell asleep exhausted.

The next morning we woke to beautiful Darwin sunshine. It was a slow start but we got ourselves into gear and off to breakfast at the alley cats pattiserie. It was a lovely breakfast (a bit expensive) and nice to have a good coffee.

We wandered back to the hotel and the got our cosies on and we walked along the esplanade toward the waterfront.

The wave pool at the Darwin waterfront is a fantastic place. We were all super excited to see Duncs and Bin and the boys. We all had a great time playing in the wave pool- lots of warm shun shine and catch up!

We had lunch at a restaurant nearby and a couple of cold beers. We were getting a bit tired so we caught a taxi back to the hotel for an afternoon nap.

That evening we went to the Darwin Trailer yacht club. The club is right on the beach at Fannie bay with an amazing view overt the water to watch the sunset. Duncs and Bin met us there and we had a lovely meal - A fresh Barra and Singapore crab. We watched the sunset (it was amazing how long it took to set - almost 45 minutes).

We had a great meal and then went back to the hotel get some rest. A big day tomorrow.
