hi folks,

Just arrived in wanaka, next to lake wanaka. It's all pretty peaceful here (so far). We started travelling at 7am this morning so im pretty tired. There was lots of scenery along the way and possibly the worst sandwich i have ever consumed IN MY LIFE! It was made on hard white bread (not my favourite) with a few grains of cheese and a few meagre vegetables and worst of all soggy ends - I HATE SOGGY BREAD - IT MAKES ME SICK! Also, had to endure a bus sing-along to chesney hawks "i am  the one and only" and its now stuck in my head! During all this madness i managed to nod off and my french bus buddy steve thought it would be hilarious to film me sleeping so i think i might have to get hime back tomorrow - GRR.

I will be having a quiet one tonight (nothing much to see here). we are going swimming down in the lake and then going for a few glasses of vino at the pub across the road (2 for 1 stylee). We are heading off to queenstown tomorrow so i need to save my energy levels and pennies for that.

P.s did any of you guys know that canadians call fringes 'bangs'! i was left very confused when my canadian friend alison was talking about getting her bangs cut - how weird!
