Today we said our goodbyes to Saigon and began the next leg of our journey to the Mekong Delta. For anyone who's not sure what I'm on about, these are the underground tunnels in the Saigon vicinity used by the Viet Cong to launch attacks on the US troops during the Vietnamese war. We stepped out of the hotel into the humid heat of the city. Our hotel is situated in a back alley away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. I am not sure why but I like Saigon.
