Up early packed up camp listened to a rangers talk about Elquestro then headed over to Emma Gorge, we have mountains all around us its quite spectacular,the walk to the gorge is 3.2 kl. return hard yacka climing up and down over boulders and rough tracks but the end result was worth it a beautiful swimming hole with water falls and the water coming through the rocks was warm, by the time I got back after the return journey I was b*****ed. Headed on our journey to Gibb River Road so far bitumen till Elquestro Ranch the road in was fairly rough we had to go through 3 water crossings and go into low range a couple of times. There were 2 donkeys wandering around, we set up our tents then went for a drive to Jackeroo water hole then to Elquestro gorge very rough 2kl treck for very little reward. Saw a dingo. Had shower tea then our first night in our tent.

This morning when we got up Luke had a small very angry snake under his car he had to shoo it away with a stick but it didnt like it. We crossed the boarder into Western Australia had to give up our honey at the border. We are staying at the Discovery Holiday Park at Lake Kununurra, there are 6 thousand tagged crocks freshies in the lake and we are only 30 ft away from it. Today we are heading for Kununurra we plan to stop at Gurrandaling Campground Keep River National Park, we fuled up at Katherin then headed out on the Victorian Highway,there are mountains all around us Moray Ranges very pretty a lot of the hills look like they have been terraced.
