Hello everyone!

We finally arrived in Bangkok at around 5am local time on Wednesday 4th February slightly later than scehdule. Unfortunately our luggage is not with us, so we will be travelling light to Koh Samui tomorrow! We have spent 4 days in the same clothes so we consider ourselves to be proper backpackers now.

Our first day in Bangkok has been very hot and humid. We've been out and about around the shops and found an awesome food hall where Sian had green chicken (still unsure what made it green, but it was very tasty). It is incredibly busy, almost impossible to cross the street, and we had to share the pavement with mopeds this morning. Slightly scary after only having 2 hours sleep on the plane!

Sian has been very restrained in not stroking the local cats we have seen - about 3 so far. We also saw a man with no legs and a cup of change in his mouth. Not very nice, although we only saw one of him. The guesthouse we are staying in is quite nice and everybody has been very friendly. We have only taken a couple of pictures, but will take more of Bangkok and upload them next week when we are back from the islands.

That's it for now, we are going to have some more colourful chicken before having an early night ready for our 4am start.
